As you all know, I am learning to sew. My sister helped me make this sweet, precious gift for some friends. I love the whale and the searsucker! It totally matches this friend's personality and style.
This will definitely be my go to gift for friends having babies. Everyone needs onesies and burp cloths.

Something I learned about myself recently. I have wanted to find some crafts and such to make in order to start an Etsy store. I get inspired by reading all these different blogs and get all excited about what I can/could do! Well, I realized that I don't like making crafts to sell. I don't like the pressure that goes along with it. So many of you are SOO talented, so I will leave it to you instead:) I rather enjoy making them for MR.P and my home and for gifts. I think thats why I am so excited about partnering with Stella & Dot. Loving the journey already!

also, i completely understand your desire to only create for yourself. that's a huge reason why i stopped practicing and started building and renovating my own spaces...

So cute! Baby clothes make great sewing projects! Just a tip of something I've learned from doing it myself. Gerber onesies shrink TERRIBLY. My daughter wears 9 month clothes and has to wear an 18 month onesie from Gerber by the time we wash it. Hope that helps a little bit in shopping for onesies to make for gifts! Carters or even the Okie Dokie ones at JCPenney hold up much better (sometimes you can get Carter ones super cheap on sale).
Love the whale onesie and the burp cloth!! Great job. I second the carter's onesie comment from above. You can get them for 1/2 off at Kohl's pretty often and also the carter's outlet will put them on sale too.
This is really cute Beth! I also LOVE doing stuff like this as baby gifts! And, I would love to design a blog for you whenever you're ready!
