Idea Board for Office

I am joining this party!

ASPTL

Our office is slowly turning into what we like.  I had originally wanted a shelf above the desk with places for files and such.  Then possibly adding a chalkboard on a silver tray.  Well, I ended up using the tray in the dining room, plus I realized I wouldn't really use the chalkboard in the office.  So, I decided to go the free route again.  MR.P had a large rectangular frame he had purchased a while back for a picture of Sanford Stadium (GO DAWGS!)  Well, the picture didn't quite fit, so it's been sitting in our "Man Room" for quite some time without any attention.  I sweetly asked MR.P if I could have it and without any hesitation he said, "Sure!"  I was pretty darn excited :)  I Couldn't believe he parted with both the frame and the picture.  I needed the picture to attach my fabric.  What a selfless husband!  So I went to town while MR.P and friend watched football.  It's amazing how much I enjoy sports when I am distracted by a project!

The fabric was left over from recovering our dining room chairs.  Ticking stripe...my fav!

I didn't take any pics of the process of attaching the fabric to the picture (it was cardboard), but you all know the process.  Do the 4 corners, then go back around, and around, and around, until its tightly attached.

Here is the first look.

I love taking pages out of magazines.  My only problem is that if I don't have them in front of my face I forget about the idea.  So, I decided that I would use this idea board as a place to put these magazine pages.  It's already been so helpful!

Here is the final pic.  I didn't have a "P" that was light enough so I traced one on cardboard, cut it out, then spraypainted it black.  Works for me!  Can't even tell!  The idea board has already been so helpful in making my projects come to life!

I'm the same way you are, if I don't see the idea in front of my face, I forget it! I love that you used extra fabric to make the boart- it turned out great :).
