File Cabinet Make Over

You can definitely do a room renovation on a tiny little budget.  For me that budget is $0 at the moment.  Thankfully I have some left over materials from other projects which makes it possible to do a few things here and there!

I decided I did NOT like my file cabinet.
(this is not mine, but looks very similar...forgot to take a before picture.  Even looks like my designing space.  The garage!)

The office is painted gray.  The khaki color didn't go so well for the color scheme I am going for.  So I used my left over chalkboard paint to spruse it up!  This is one of my favorite products!

It took me 3 coats of paint to cover everything up, but it was totally worth it.  It was HOT out there.  I had to go inside after each coat just to cool off for the next round.  But TOTALLY worth it!!

I think I like it :)  I am going to try it in a few different locations.  Maybe against a different wall so you can see the sides and such.  I even got some inspiration from my new favorite blog.  I could print out a fun print and then trace that print onto the sides of the file cabinet!

Cute little grubby hands :)
Wouldn't that be so cute on the sides? I think so!

That is just awesome! I have an ugly file cabinet in my barn that I may drag out and give a makeover to!

SUCH a cute idea Beth! The only and best place for our big 4 drawer filing cabinet is in the baby's room in a corner...I am definitely going to make this be a project this fall to make it match the room. THANK YOU for your creative mind! Keep them coming!
