Office

MR.P's busy work season is just right around the corner so I REALLY want to get the office all set up.  I finally decided on some drapes.  This was really what I needed to get in order to go forward with the rest of the room.

I paruse World Market quite often, so I was VERY excited when I saw that they had some new curtain panels.  These stuck out very quickly to me!

But I kept searching and I liked these as well.

But after thinking about what accessories and such I already have, I went with the first set.

They are perfect.  I am not a fan of sleeve top panels, so I will get some curtain clips in black to hang them.
I have an extra lamp laying around that I'll probably spray paint red, blue, or green.  Not sure yet.

This one is actually only $20 from Target.  Might be worth buying!  I'll have to see if it works.

MR.P needs to be able to see 6 months of work at one time.  So I have been looking around for ideas on how to display calendars on the wall.

I found this.  Awesome idea, but won't work if I have to buy 6.

Visit their Etsy shop.  They have some great stuff!
If I only needed 1 or 2 this would definitely have been my plan.

I also saw this at Home Depot.
I already have the chalkboard stuff, but its not easy to write small with chalk (since there will be 6 on one wall, he'll have to write somewhat small on each calendar).  So I am thinking the $20 price tag for this is the winner.  I have the squares all taped out and ready to roll.  I am thinking about outlining each one with a fun color.  What do y'all think?  Do all 6 squares with 1 color?  Or rotate with a few different colors?

I also already have some of these storage boxes in green and white.

They'll go perfectly with the room now.  I was having a tough time with the room.  I had a lot of red and black in there, but I didn't want a UGA office.  So these drapes are really helping me pull everything together with what we already have.  Our diplomas and a painted picture of the Arch are in there.  So now it won't seem so UGA with the added colors.  I'd like to get a few more boxes for the room.  Basically to just help me stay organized with papers and such.

Lastly.  We have a filing cabinet that I REALLY need to paint.  It's that ugly khaki color.  Because I am using dry erase for the calendars instead of chalkboard I think I'll paint the fililng cabinet with the chalkboard.  I think it will add a cute touch!

I'm excited to start this transformation!  Can't wait :)

Oh i love World Market! I like the blue color of the lamps. I think we must have been on the same wave length this am, because I have had drapes on my mind. Great post!

Those curtains are fabulous - love when a fabric helps determine the direction of a room. I cannot wait to see it all come together!
