Dinner Center Pieces

This past weekend, Jenn and I also did the center pieces for the celebration dinner.  We wanted this to be cost efficient as well so we did a lot of researching.

The dinner was at Devore House.  They had hurricanes and candles for us, but we wanted to spruce things up a bit.  We used this picture for some inspiration.
We also wanted to add a little bit of fun with the table numbers. So instead of copying some pictures we saw, we used the extra burlap from the luncheon to spray paint the numbers onto that.

(pardon the iphone picture)

This is my standard spray painting area.
Just a little tip.  At first we were using a ton of spray paint to make sure the numbers showed up.  Well, once we got into it, we realized we only needed  a little bit.  I guess you live and learn!!

Here are the finished products!

Instead of using apples, we used limes.  They fit better in the hurricanes.  Also, a little more cost efficient.  In order to change things up a bit we did every other table with the limes, then did keylimes on the others.

The twine around the hurrican really pulled everything together.

Twine: $10
Limes: $45 for 100 limes and 30 keylimes
Hurricanes: Free
Candles: Free
Burlap: Free (left over from luncheon center pieces)
Sticks: $15 (we bought some and then collected some from the Bougheys back yard!)

Here are a few pictures that Jenn took.

Proudly displaying our work!

I love the centerpieces! Mixing up the lime filled and lime surrounded was great. The sticks added a formal/ fancy element. Very cute!
