Happy Wednesday to you! I have gotten a few things done in the office so I thought I would update you! I had a few random frames laying around, but I could NOT do anything with them. I wanted our wall arrangement of frames to be a little random, but have an element of uniform. And the frames I had were not giving the affect I was going for. Well Saturday night some friends of ours gave me a ton of frames for free that worked perfectly for this space!
It was honestly really tough getting the affect I was going for. I tried putting paper on the wall like I mentioned in my post the other day, but it really didn't work for me. So I just played around with things and eventually settled on this one. I didn't put any pictures in the frames because that part is easy. I'll figure that out later ;)
(P.S. my sister painted the picture of the arch. I LOVE it!)
I wanted the arrangement to have a few things that really made the arrangement ours.
I made this the other night with stuff I had left over from a baby gift. I like how it turned out! Why is it that I love anything with book pages?? Anyhow, its a cheap way to really add something fun to a room. Here is a great tutorial.
I didn't want the tie backs from my drapes to go to waste so I nailed it to the back of this frame. It's a sturdy frame because the wood didn't even split! Exactly how I wanted it. The knob is from some window hardware that didn't fit on our wall.
Here is the look of the room now.
I think I like how it's coming together. Not sure yet though ;)
Here's another view.
Those pillows are getting covers for them. Excited to see how that brings the room together!
So 2/3 of the room is done. What's left you ask? Well this wall of fun!
I plan on doing the dry erase boards here. I taped it out a little bit just to see the visual. I hope it turns out! I'd love to do some writing above the boards. MR.P and I have 4 family values and we'll probably do that up there. I think that will help bring the black in a little bit more. I will be using the "decal" technique for the wording. All you do is print out the words you want in the right size. Take a pencil and scribble on the back all over. Then put the paper in the spot you'd like the "decal" to go and trace on top of the letters. It will automatically transfer onto your wall! Easy as that! Not sure what font I'll use, but I am excited to see it all come together.
What do y'all think? Is the arrangement of frames ok? Does it need a few more things? Some color? I was thinking about adding a green frame or something, but I just wasn't sure! I'd love to hear some feedback on what this room needs!

if you need someone to make your pillow covers for you, haha, check out my blog post today - I feel like that's all I do!
I usually charge $20 to make a pillow, and then $3.50 if I have to buy a zipper. Fabric is obvious, but I also work with clothes, sheets, bigger pillows to multiple smaller pillows, etc.
I love what you did! The pictures in the frames will add some color once you get them in, right? So maybe you don't have to have any more color...and I LOVE the curtains!
LOOKS GREAT! I love the curtains and I think the dry erase wall will be really fun :) Plus, I agree with Abby, the pictures you choose will really help that wall!
The drapes look great!!! :)
looks great! i was doing the same thing last night in my apt here in cairo...trying to create that frame collage wall look that's somewhat uniform but not so symetrical..and its WAY HARDER than i would have ever thought. i'll have to send you a pic of mine. btw, i'm having a hard time figuring out how to hang it in the right positions...i laid everything out on the ground below the wall to get the visual and figure out placement...but then how do i transfer that to mark on the wall where i need to nail?? :)
