Baby Boy Peele is here!!!

Yep, that's right. Baby Peele is a sweet baby boy and he has arrived!!!  We got the call on Monday the 24th at 1:49 pm that the birth mother was in labor. We were in the car by 3:00.  We arrived at the hospital and he arrived at 1:19 am on the 25th. We are so excited that he is here.  We came home on Wednesday and things are going well!

P.S. We are still waiting on some legal things, so no pictures yet. Sorry :(

Family

I forgot to share our family picture from Thanksgiving @ Seaside!
We had a great time and really enjoyed some family time.  I even saw Tom Glavin (former Braves player).  Poor MR.P, he wasn't with me when I saw him. I stayed cool though...represented the family well.

Have I mentioned that I have 4 sisters, 1 brother, 3 brothers-in-law, and 9 nieces on my side of the family? Oh and 1 nephew on the way?  Yep, I love my big family!  Baby Peele will fit right in!
2 weeks and 2 days :)

Job

I have worked at my current job (atlanta area) for 4 years to the date of baby Peele's due date.  Crazy how life turns out differently than we expect, but it couldn't be more perfect for us. God is good!  Anyway, moving on. Because my work doesn't allow part time, I am looking for a part time job (my company is completely aware of the situation, which is why I am posting on here!)   I would love to have something where I could work from home, but going into an office 2 days a week is doable.  I am such a believer of being a stay at home mom, but right now my family needs me to help out financially a little. So I am willing!  We have all been good friends for a while, so I figured, why not ask my sweet blog friends if they know of anything!
Thanks friends!  The countdown is on. 2.5 weeks. But it looks like things are progressing so I am hoping more like a week :)

Soon this little family of 2 will be a family a of 3!!

Working Out

Why do I loath working out so much? MR.P says the hardest part is just getting out of bed. I disagree. I think getting out of bed, putting on my work out clothes, putting on my tennis shoes, and WORKING OUT is the hardest part.  So I guess the whole process is hard to me!  Haha.
BUT, I love the feeling of working out. I love how productive I feel starting my day out right. I love having plenty of time to get ready in the morning! and I love spending time with MR.P in the morning. So why do I not work out when the benefits are so great?  I am just plain lazy ;)
Anyway, just learning to be disciplined in a few areas of my life. And this is one of them.  Pray for me!

I use Jillians 30 day shred and it seriously works.  I definitely see results after using it for 2 weeks. I've had it for a year, but haven't been using it consistantly.

Favorite work out clothes.
I wear these all the time during the summer...even if I'm not working out. They are just comfortable!
perfect for working out, or just running errands.

I'm no hard core workout person, but these work for me! And they are affordable!

I just wear new balance tennis shoes. But I am not a runner or anything, so don't listen to me ;)

So want another sneak peak of baby Peele's room?  It's all done now!

It's pretty much all done. I have a few things I'd like to do, but it's not too important right now. 2 weeks and 6 days until due date!!  Whoohoo!!

"Quote Worthy"

I have a friend named Beth. She's cool cause she has the same name as me. Anyway, our families have been friends for 23 years. They were some of our first friends when we moved to Atlanta.  I cannot tell you how many crazy family stories we have with this family. Things like going camping...it rained ALL night. Bonnie (Beth's younger sister) threw up all over our tent (all 6 girls were sleeping in one tent). Their mom got bitten by a scorpion. It was miserably fun :)

Moving on. Beth wrote a book a few years ago called "What not to say to a single Woman in the 21st Century".  It's hysterical. My sister also happened to illustrate it.  If you are single or have single friends...buy it! It's soo funny!!  Plus, like I said before. Beth is wonderful :)

She just wrote ANOTHER book called "Quote Worthy".
"What do Winston Churchill, Oscar Wilde, and Bette Midler have in common? They all said something that was worth repeating. Beth Grabenkort and Randy Schlichting take you into the words of politicians, playwrights, actors, and others as they help you reflect on what people say and how it can go well beyond what they mean."

Go check out her books now!

Cheap Date Nights

As the new year starts, and we are bringing a baby into our world, we talked budget. One category of the budget that we will not cut out completely is date night money. We feel very strongly that having date nights is important to our little family of 3.  Thank goodness we have always done cheap date nights. Don't get me wrong, sometimes we splurge a little and go somewhere nice, but most of the time it's on the cheap.

Here are some of our date nights: (you may not call them dates, but they definitely are to us!)

* QT dates - ok, if you live in the South, then you definitely know what QT (Quick Trip) is.  It's basically the cleanest, nicest gas station around. I know, sounds sooo trashy. But it's not. We go on dates here to grab a fun drink and a snack. We'll either take it home for a movie night (winter) or to the park (summer).  We can't wait to introduce these special dates to our little one!

* Walking around the mall - usually we'll grab some chick-fil-a or something then just walk around the mall. Sometimes we have an agenda and sometimes we don't. It's just nice to walk around together instead of being trapped inside during the cold winter months.

* Walking around our favorite Antique store - We usually have a QT date before this...then we walk around and get inspired by all the beautiful things! We love to dream :)
* Taking a walk - we have this GREAT trail called the Suwanee Greenway. It's about 2 miles from our house. Unfortunately, I am a woose and can't handle it during the winter. So we reserve this for spring, summer, and fall months. There is a playground at the end of the trail that is fun to swing on for a little break in the middle. Once we are done we usually grab some breakfast.  That is MR.P's favorite part ;)

* Ice cream dates - we have this great little ice cream place in the middle of one of our favorite parks. We love to go there then lounge at the park. This is making me really excited about spring.  Goodness gracious...it's January. I have a long time to wait!!

I love dates with the Mr. He is precious and I love him so much!  We had a great night last night. We started off our night by catching up on each other's days. Then we worked out together (whoohoo!) Cooked a simple dinner (surprise, surprise). Then we read for about an hour. MR.P was finishing up "Fathered By God" and I was reading "Baby Wise"...except for mine is seriously 18 years old. It was my mom's book :) I am going to read "Fathered By God" too. Matt was raving about it!

I leave you with this! I hope our child has this kind of confidence!!!
Pretty sure as a kid my parents never worried about my confidence...it was always pretty high ;)

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year everyone! It's 2011 and I can't believe it! I feel like since I graduated college, life has flown by! MR.P and I got married, bought a house, and now we are adopting a baby. It's just crazy to me!  I feel so blessed.  Even during the difficult times, it was good. God was stretching and growing Matt and I. I can't tell you the amount of sweet conversations we had about how good God was and how he was taking care of us. Praise God!! He is GOOD! And now, in 4 weeks and 6 days our baby is due!! In Georgia, there is a 10 day waiting period where the mother can change her mind. Once the baby is born and those 10 days are over, we will let you know what the baby is and post a picture :) I cannot wait!!

We are so excited about this year. For NYE we went to dinner with some friends.  They were working at the Passion conference here in Atlanta, so we headed down town to pick them up.  We went to Tin Lizzy's which is one of our favorite restaurants.

Me and the Mr.

Anna and Daniel.

Great time had by all! Then MR.P and I we went home and had a great night by the fire reading and watching the peach drop :)

The rest of our long weekend was spent relaxing, cleaning the house, and organizing for the new year.  It was very relaxing and now I am ready for this baby to come! Hope everyone else had a great New years!!
