Painting a headboard on your wall!

I have been decorating a bit here and there. Not a lot bc being a full-time mom takes up a lot of my time (I say that with the fullest most happy heart!) Anyway, I have a few things I thought I would share.

Decorating can be so expensive. Even when doing it yourself, on the dime, or whatever floats your boat. I love to look around my house at what I already have and see if I can change things up without spending anything. For example, we really need a headboard to complete our guest bedroom. But I really don't feel like buying one or even redoing a cheap on. I'd rather save my money to buy one that I really really love! So I decided I would use some old white paint to make a headboard. I did some research to see what design/shape I wanted. Here are some I really liked.

The last one is my favorite. I think I will go with that one. And because blogger on my phone won't let me move my text or pictures the very last picture is how the room sits at present. I'll have to utilize my sister's artistic abilities to help me draw everything out before I paint. Hopefully it will all turn out as I visualize it in my head! In my experience it usually doesn't;)
